No. 4 Louisville Travels to Top-Ranked UConn on Sunday

The fourth ranked Louisville women's basketball will face top-ranked Connecticut in a rematch of the 2013 National Championship game on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in Gampel Pavilion. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN. It can also be heard live on the Cards Radio with Matt Andrews and Adrienne Johnson, carried locally on WKRD 790 AM.
Asia Taylor scored 19 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead No. 4 Louisville to a 74-59 win over UCF on Tuesday night. Sara Hammond had 14 points, Shoni Schimmel 11 and Emmonnie Henderson 10 for the Cardinals, who finally pulled away when Schimmel and Hammond combined for 10 points on a 15-3 run that gave Louisvile a 58-38 lead on Taylor's 3-pointer with 12 minutes to play.
The Cardinals have an overall record of 23-1 and a conference record of 11-0. Schimmel leads the team in scoring with 17.9 points per game. Hammond ranks second on the team in scoring, averaging 11.7 points. Taylor ranks third on the team in scoring with 10.5 points per game. She also leads the team in rebounding with 6.6 per game. Hammond ranks second on the team in rebounding with 6.5 boards per game. Bria Smith rounds out the top scorers averaging 9.5 points per game.
Top ranked UConn enters the game with an overall record of 24-0 and a league record of 11-0. Bria Hartley scored 21 points and Breanna Stewart added 20 to lead UConn to its 30th straight win over SMU on Tuesday night. Stefanie Dolson had 16 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and five of UConn's 14 blocked shots. And Moriah Jefferson had 14 points and five assists.
All five UConn starters average double figures. Stewart leads the team with 19.3 points per game. Hartley ranks second on the team in scoring with 15.9 points per game. Dolson leads the team on the boards with 9.3 rebounds per game while averaging 12.6 points per game. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis ranks fourth on the team in scoring with 12.2 points per game. Jefferson rounds out the top scorers with 10.1 points per game.
UConn leads the series 13-1 over the Cardinals.
