
Women's Tennis Completes Play at Purdue Invitational

University of Louisville' women's tennis team traveled to the Purdue Invitational this past weekend, coming out with nine match wins in a field that also featured, Purdue, Illinois and Miami (Ohio).
The Cardinals won eight out of nine match wins in singles. Freshman Ariana Rodriguez won three of those matches for the Cardinals in singles, defeating Jade Hilton of Illinois, 6-2, 6-4, Christine Guerrazzi of Miami, 6-0, 6-1 and Andjela Djokovic of Purdue, 6-4, 6-0. Other Cardinals contributing to singles wins were Ellie Stokes with two match wins over Miami and Purdue and Jessie Lynn Paul defeating Jerricka Boone of Illinois, 7-5, 7-5.
Ola Mally and Olivia Boesing also each had single match wins, and then teamed up in doubles to take a win over Miami's Andrea Badileanu and Ramona Costea, 8-6.
The Cardinals next event will be at USTA/ITA National Indoors on November, 6 in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. for a three day event.
