Athletic Department's Summer Social Begins Monday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Following the most successful year of online growth in school history, the University of Louisville Athletic Department starts a new interactive social media campaign Monday, June 24.
The eight-week social media blitz, aimed at keeping fans connected this summer, will offer continued engagement everyday of the week.
Beginning Monday, the `Summer Social' begins with two unique campaigns.
First, the official Louisville Cardinals' Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts will post daily photos, updates, and unique content for fans to interact with and share. Visit www.Facebook.com/GoCards each day to see the newest social event.
Second, Louisville's Director of Social Media will be providing an inside look at plans for the upcoming year by hosting a summer `reality' concept called the `Flying Cardinal Challenge.' Each week, the summer social media internship team will give video updates on Ptch while undergoing a series of contests to help prepare for 2013-14. Monday: Meme Monday
Get your week started with a smile by helping create a new Meme. Leave your comments below each photo or tweet them @ULFlyingCard using #MemeMonday. The best caption will be added to the picture and permanently placed in a new Facebook photo album.
Tuesday: Travel Tuesday
Where are you traveling to this summer? Fans are encouraged to tweet their Louisville-themed photos from around the country and the globe @ULFlyingCard using #CardsGoneGlobal for a chance to be featured in photo albums on Louisville's social media pages.
Wednesday: Workout Wednesday
Fans will be asked to identify a specific student-athlete from a picture posted every Wednesday. Sounds simple enough, right? The catch, however, will be that part of the athlete will be blurred or shown to make things more challenging.
Thursday: Throwback Thursday
Hear directly from Cardinal student-athletes, coaches, and staff about their favorite memories from 2012-2013. Fans are encouraged to tweet their own photos and videos @ULFlyingCard using #ThrowbackThursday for a chance to also be shared with Card Nation.
Friday: Fan Favorite Friday
Celebrate the end of each week by helping pick the best photo from the #YearoftheCardinal. Every Friday, fans will be asked to vote on a series of photos highlighting different athletic accomplishments from 2012-13. Fans are asked to vote for their favorite photo each week by clicking 'Like' below the picture. The final week will feature a contest to decide the fan favorite photo of the year. Fans also can submit their photo entries @ULFlyingCard using #YearoftheCardinal.
