
Women's Tennis Falls 4-2 to USF in Semifinals

TAMPA, Fla. - No. 3 seed Louisville 2, vs. No. 2 seed USF 4 Match W16 April 20, 2013 Varsity Courts - Tampa, Fla., 9 a.m.
The No. 3 seeded University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 4-2 to host and No. 4 seed University of South Florida in the semi-finals of the BIG EAST Championship Saturday afternoon at the Varsity Courts in Tampa, Fla. on the campus of USF.
The Cardinals won the No. 3 doubles when Manuela Velasquez and Mandy Brown won 8-6. The teams tied when U of L's No. 1 duo of Julia Fellerhoff and Rebecca Shine fell 8-4. The Bulls clinched the doubles point when Becky Bodine and Stefanie Villajuan fell 8-4 at No. 2.
U of L won two singles points with Manuela Velasquez winning 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 and Rebecca Shine won 6-3, 7-6 at No. 2.
