
Women's Golf Finishes 17th at Bryan National Collegiate

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - The University of Louisville women's golf team fired a 321 in the final round of the Bryan National Collegiate on Sunday. The Cardinals finished 17th. Louisville finished at 930 for the three-day tournament.
Virginia won the highly competitive tournament which featured 14 nationally ranked teams including five of the top 10 teams. The Cavailers had a three-round score of 869 to edge out Arkansas by four strokes. Georgia's Emilie Burger captured individual medalist honors with a 5-under par 211.
Katie Petrino and Sara Karlsson led Louisville in the final round. Both Petrino and Karlsson navigated the par-72, 6,386-yd Bryan Park Champions Course with a 77. Petrino finished tied for 44th at 10-over par 226. Karlsson tied for 68th at 233.
Emily Haas carded an 84 on Sunday to finish at 237. Haas tied for 75th.
Tara Lyons fired an 83 on Sunday. Lyons placed 81st at 240.
Candice Wiley withdrew from the tournament on Sunday.
Louisville faces a quick turnaround and will be back in action on Friday, April 5 at the SMU Invitational in Dallas, Texas.
