The University of Louisville's Caralisa Connell was named CollegeSportsMadness.com's National Pitcher of the Week and Big East Player of the Week.
Connell (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) posted 2-0 record a 1.54 ERA with 26 strikeouts and held opponents to a .171 batting average in 22.2 innings of work. The junior got the complete game win over No. 1 Oklahoma, scattering three hits and allowing only one run - in the bottom of the seventh. She also delivered nine strikeouts in the wins over Iowa and Indiana.
