
No. 11 Louisville Hosts Pittsburgh on Saturday Afternoon

Louisville, Ky. - The No. 11 Louisville women's basketball team will host Pittsburgh on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the KFC Yum! Center.
The Cardinals enter the game with an overall record of 19-4 and a 7-2 record in league play. Louisville has won five straight games and seven of its last eight games. The Cards did not have a midweek game after defeating Georgetown 74-60 last Saturday. Antonita Slaughter led the Cardinals with a season-high 22 points. Overall, Shoni Schimmel leads the team in scoring with 13.8 points while dishing out 3.4 assists. Sara Hammond ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.7 points per game while leading the team in rebounding with 6.5 per game.
Pittsburgh enters the game with an overall record of 9-13 and a league record of 0-9 heading into Saturday's game against the Cardinals. The Panthers dropped a heartbreaker, falling in double overtime to Providence, 85-83 on Wednesday evening at the Petersen Events Center.
Pittsburgh has two players averaging double figures. Asia Logan leads the team with 15.3 points per game. She also leads the team in rebounding with 7.2 boards a game. Brianna Kiesel ranks second on the team in scoring with 14.5 points per game. She also leads the team in assists and steals with 67 assists and 31 steals.
