LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville Athletic Department has launched a cutting-edge video-based online community this month to bring fans closer to the action.
The community is part of a one of a kind partnership with the social media company called Ptch, a subsidiary of Dreamworks Animation. Ptch is a revolutionary mobile app to help Louisville fans, coaches, and student-athletes create and share minute-long videos.
The new community was made especially for the University of Louisville. It is the first partnership of this kind between a social media company and a collegiate athletics program. In addition to setting up the exclusive community, Ptch also provides a unique Louisville theme for videos and multiple official Louisville fight songs for members to use. The newest version of the app also allows users to upload songs from their iTunes library.
Fans should check out the new Louisville Ptch website by visiting www.Ptch.com/community/louisville. Several new contests and themes will be introduced in the coming weeks for Louisville fans. Every Louisville sports team also has its own unique Ptch account to share fun behind-the-scenes videos and updates throughout the year.
Ptch can be viewed from any computer or cell phone with internet access. The mobile app is currently only available for iPhone and iPad, but versions for the Android and desktop computers will be launched soon. To get the Ptch app, simply search the App Store for Ptch or visit:
