No. 7 Louisville Hosts Austin Peay on Saturday Night

The No. 7 Louisville women will host Austin Peay on Saturday, Dec. 14 in the KFC Yum! Center at 7:00 p.m. The game will be carried live on the Cards Radio with Matt Andrews and Adrienne Johnson, carried locally on WKRD 790 AM. The game will also be streamed live on CARDS TV.
Shoni Schimmel scored 17 points, including five 3-pointers, and the Cardinals cruised to a 99-40 win over Wright State on Saturday night. Sara Hammond and Asia Taylor added 12 points apiece for the Cardinals, who shot 56 percent from the field and held the Raiders to 23 percent.
Schimmel leads three Cardinals averaging double figures with 13.8 points per game. Hammond ranks second on the team in scoring, averaging 10.9 points while leading the team on the boards with 6.8 rebounds per game. Asia Taylor ranks third on the team in scoring with 10.4 points per game. Taylor ranks second on the team in rebounding with 6.4 boards per game.
Austin Peay enters Saturday's game with a 3-5 overall record, after suffering back-to-back losses in last week's action. The Lady Govs fell to Middle Tennessee at home, Wednesday, before falling at Xavier, Saturday. APSU suffered through a poor second-half performance in both contests, shooting a combined 31.7 percent while failing to making a three-pointer (0-of-7).
Sophomore guard Tiasha Gray leads the Lady Govs in scoring with 15.8 points and assists with 5.6 assists per game. She ranks second on the team this in rebounds with 5.0 per game. Kristen Stainback ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.4 poings per game. Jennifer Nwokocha leads the Lady Govs on the boards with 5.5 rebounds per game.
The game is part of the $2 beverage promotion. Bud, Bud Light and all soft drinks will be $2.
