Athletic Department Launches Pinterest Contest

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville Athletic Department is launching its official Pinterest page and will hold a contest that will see more than $100 worth of Cardinal Authentic merchandise distributed as prizes.
The goal is for all Cardinal fans to show their pride by creating a special Louisville Cardinals board on Pinterest. Pins can include your favorite spot on campus, favorite Cardinal sports team, favorite tailgate recipes (with a Louisville flavor), favorite merchandise. The winner will be chosen based on creativity, Cardinal pride and uniqueness.
Winners potentially will appear on Louisville's social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter.
Louie the Cardinal, the school's beloved mascot is also keeping fans connected through Pinterest this summer. Each Monday, Louie grabs his apron and heads to the kitchen looking for Cardinal recipes from food and drink lovers. Each week, a different "Cardinal-ized" category will be announced, searching for the best tailgate food, drink idea or appetizer. Fans can pin their U of L creation on a Cardinal Athletics board and Louie will choose the best ones.
Prizes
$100 dollar gift card to Cardinal Authentic or the online retailer (Dreams)
Five personal training sessions with a member of our strength and conditioning staff at the Marshall Center (on campus)
Two $50 dollar gift cards to Cardinal Authentic
Eligibility
The contest is open to any Pinterest user, including all prospective, current and former students, faculty, staff, and Cardinal fans. There is no entry fee.
Deadline
The contest begins immediately and concludes on Aug. 10, 2012, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Submitting your entry
1. Follow University of Louisville Athletic Department on Pinterest at http://www.pinterest.com/uoflsports.
2. Create a Cardinal-themed board with a minimum of 10 Louisville-related pins.
3. When finished, send your name, phone number, and link to the completed board to ulmark@louisville.edu.
Winner Notification
The University of Louisville Athletic Department will announce the contest winners on Aug. 14, 2012. The winner will be notified by mail or phone. The winner must respond by Aug. 15, 2012, at 9 a.m. ET to avoid forfeiture of the prize.
