
Women's Basketball Travels to UT Martin on Monday

Martin, Tenn. - The No. 6/7 University of Louisville women's basketball team will play travel to UT Martin for the final game of a five game road stint on Monday, Nov. 26 at 8:00 p.m. Louisville is 6-0 on the year after winning three straight games for the Hardwood Tournament of Hope title.
Louisville enters the week ranked sixth in the USA Today/ESPN WBCA Coaches Poll and seventh in the Associated Press Poll. Shoni Schimmel leads the team in scoring and assists with 13.0 points and 4.8 per game. Sara Hammond leads the team in rebounding with 8.7 boards per game. Hammond also ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.8 points per game.
The Skyhawks are 1-4 going into the game after three consecutive losses in the Rainbow Wahine Classic. Two of the three losses came against opponents ranked No. 1 and No. 4 in the nation. Heather Butler and Jasmine Newsome have been the catalysts for UTM averaging 22.8 and 20.4 points respectively through the first five games. Newsome also leads the team in rebounding and assists with 5.8 boards per game and 5.8 assists per game.
