Thomas Earns All-West Region Honors

The University of Louisville's Amber Thomas has been selected to the 2012 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Association Division I All-West Region first team. She is eligible for All-America consideration.

Thomas, a senior forward from Duncan, British Columbia, Canada led the Cardinals with 10 goals and 21 points on the season. The team co-captain was a 2012 All-BIG EAST first team selection. She finished her career with 24 goals and three assists for 51 points.

The 25th ranked Cardinals finished the season with a 12-8 overall record and earned their seventh-straight appearance in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Conference Championship.
