
Softball Closes Fall Season with a Pair of Shutout Wins

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville softball team wrapped up the fall season with a pair of shutout wins over Bellarmine and Tennessee State Saturday at Ulmer Stadium. The Cards defeated Bellarmine 2-0 and Tennessee State 4-0.
In game one, Alicja Wolny's two-run homer in the fourth scored Katie Keller and junior Rachel LeCoq struck out six as the Cards defeated Bellarmine 2-0. Wolny led Louisville offensively with a 2 for 2, two RBI performance at the plate. Junior Taner Fowler was also 2 for 2 in the game.
In game two, Fowler went 2 for 3 and senior Jordan Trimble was 1 for 2 with two RBIs. Junior Caralisa Connell struck out nine in the complete game shutout as the Cards defeated Tennessee State 4-0.
