
Women's Golf Finishes 11th at Alamo Invitational

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Louisville women's golf team shot a 303 in the final round of the Alamo Invitational at the par-72, 6,428-yard Briggs Ranch Golf Course in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday. The Cardinals finished 11th in the 15-team field with a score of 894. The three-day event ended the Cardinals' fall season.
Oklahoma captured the team title after a tournament-record 16-under par 848. Texas A&M carded an 856 to finish second while UTSA and Tulane tied for third at 863.
Sophomore Emily Haas carded a 75 in the final round to finish tied for 10th. Haas carded a 2-under par 214 for the tournament.
Junior Tara Lyons also shot a 75 in the third round. Lyons tied for 25th with a 3-over par 219. Freshman Laura Restrepo fired a 75 in the third round to finish at 230. Restrepo tied for 56th.
Freshman Meghan Theiss shot a 78 on Tuesday to finish 67th. Theiss finished at 236 for the tournament. Sophomore Katie Petrino fired an 83 to close out the tournament at 238. Petrino finished tied for 68th.
The Cardinals open their spring slate at the UCF Challenge held from Feb. 10-12 in Sorrento, Fla.
