
Women's Golf Finished Ninth at Johnie Imes Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Louisville women's golf team finished in ninth at the Johnie Imes Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The Cardinals navigated the par-72 6,204-yard The Club at Old Hawthorne with a score of 307 in the final round to finish with a score of 909.
SMU won the tournament with a score of 876 while Missouri finished as runner-up at 885.
Freshman Laura Restrepo finished tied for 30th with a score of 227. Restrepo fired a 77 in the final round. SMU's Melanie White was the individual medalist at 6-under par 208, six strokes better than Kansas State's Whitney Pyle.
Sophomore Emily Haas and senior Candice Wiley tied for 38th with a score of 229. Haas carded a 77 in the final round. Wiley finished the final round with a score of 78.
Junior Tara Lyons improved five spots on the leaderboard to tie for 42nd. Lyons shot a team-best 75 in the final round to finish at 230. Sophomore Katie Petrino tied for 47th at 231. Petrino fired a 78 in the final round.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 12 at the Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.
