| Throughout the week, UofLsports.com will present a new category for the "Best of 2011" to be voted on by you, the fans. The polls will be open throughout the week, and the final votes will be tallied and announced at a later date. Remaining categories consist of individual highlight of the year, team win of the year, team of the year and alumnus/alumnae of the year. *** The 2011 athletic season was another year filled with remarkable accomplishments for the University of Louisville. These selected student-athletes were certainly new to the college athletics scene, but based on their individual success, it's hard to believe that any of them were freshmen.
