
Julia Fellerhoff Named BIG EAST Tennis Freshman of the Year

University of Louisville's Julia Fellerhoff earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Year honors after she registered a 15-8 record in singles play in dual matches, playing at the No. 1 spot. Additionally, she was the individual winner at the Virginia Tech Fall Invitational, Purdue Fall Invitational and the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational and was the runner-up at the Michigan State Fall Invitational.
She is the first women's tennis player in program history to earn this honor.
"I would like to congratulate Julia Fellerhoff for being voted the Big East Freshman of the Year. It is definitely an honor for her to win this award, she is very deserving," said U of L head coach Mark Beckham. "This is just the beginning for Julia, I think she is one of the best freshman in the country and I think she hasa lot more great things she is going to accomplish in her career her at Louisville. I am extremely proud of her."
