
Women's Basketball Travels to Providence

Providence, R.I. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will wrap up the regular season on the road against Providence on Monday, Feb. 28 at 7:00 p.m. The Cardinals are looking to win their fourth straight game.
Louisville enters Saturday's game with an overall record of 19-10 and a BIG EAST record of 10-5. The Cards are coming off a 59-49 win over Seton Hall on Saturday. Junior Monique Reid leads the team in scoring with 16.3 points per game. Freshman Shoni Schimmel is second with 14.5 points, while also leading the team in assists with 5.3 per game. Senior Keshia Hines leads the team in rebounds in rebounding with 6.3 per game.
Providence enters the game with an overall record of 12-15 and a BIG EAST record of 5-10. Ther Friars fell to Syracuse, 63-47 at the Carrier Dome on Saturday. Mi-Khinda Hankins leads the team in scoring, averaging 10.3points per game, while Symone Roberts is second on the team in scoring, averaging 9.7 points per game. Teya Wright leads the team on the boards with 8.1 rebounds per game.
Louisville leads the series 4-1 against Providence. The Cardinals are 1-1 against the Pirates at home.
