
Women's Basketball Hosts Austin Peay at Noon on Tuesday

The No. 11 Louisville women's basketball team will host Austin Peay on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at noon in the KFC Yum! Center. The game will be broadcast live on WKRD 790 AM or at UofLSports.com.
The Cardinals are 3-1 on the season after defeating Xavier 62-44 in the home opener on Sunday. Four Cardinals are averaging double figures with sophomore Cierra Warren leading the way with 13.8 points per game. Becky Burke is second on the team with 11.8 points per game while freshman Bria Smith is third in scoring with 11.5 points per game. Sophomore Shoni Schimmel ranks fourth on the team in scoring with 10.5 per game and leads the team with 5.0 assist per game. Freshman Sara Hammond leads the team on the boards with 7.5 rebounds per game.
Austin Peay enters the game with a 2-0 record, following an eight-day break. It is the second road game of the year for the Lady Govs, which they opened with a three-point win at Lipscomb on Nov. 14. Senior guard Whitney Hanley leads the team in scoring with 24.5 points per game. Nicole Olszewski is second on the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game. Hand also leads the team in rebounding with 7.0 per game. Olszewski leads the team from behind the arc, connecting on 57.1 percent in two games.
Louisville leads the series 6-0 against the Lady Govs.
