Softball Fall Season Schedule Set

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - University of Louisville softball coach Sandy Pearsall has released the 2010-11 fall schedule.
The Cards will open fall play on Sept. 25 when Bellarmine University visits Ulmer Stadium for a doubleheader starting at noon. U of L will then head to Bowling Green, Ky., for the Hilltopper Fall Classic on Oct. 3. Louisville will face Lindsey Wilson at11 a.m. and will play host Western Kentucky at 3 p.m. The Cards will wrap up the fall season on Oct. 8 with Morehead State visits Ulmer Stadium for a 7 p.m. game.
The Cardinals are coming off a 41-18 campaign in 2010 after advancing to the final game of their seventh consecutive NCAA regional final before falling to Women's College World Series participant Tennessee. The 2010 season also marked the fifth time in U of L softball history that the team has won 40 or more games in a season.
Louisville return¬¬s eight starters and 14 letterwinners from last year's team including reigning BIG EAST player of the year Chelsea Bemis and BIG EAST selections Tori Collins, Kristin Austin, Colby Wherry and Alicja Wolny.
