Louisville, Ky. - Former Louisville standout Cindy LaCrosse leads the Duramed Futures Tour. LaCrosse leads the tour in stroke average and earnings. She has made every cut in all eight tournaments this year and finished in the Top 10 of six tournaments. She currently has a stroke average of 69.95.
LaCrosse won the 2010 Riviera Nayarit Challenge in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico at the end of March. She shot a 70 in the first round and a 71 in the second round. LaCrosse captured the title after shooting a 68 in the final round for a score of 209.
She has earned $52,098 since March to lead the tour in earnings. She tied for second in the Texas Hill Country Classic in San Antonio. She also finished third at Florida's Natural Charity Classic and fourth at the Teva Championship in Mason, Ohio.
LaCrosse is a member of the LPGA and has Priority List Status of Category 20. So she is limited to what LPGA events she can play in. She recently received sponsorship for the Jamie Farr Owens Classic Presented by Kroger. The event will start on July 1st in Sylvania, Ohio.
What is impressive about the sponsorship is that every LPGA Tournament has two sponsorship exemptions and the sponsor chose LaCrosse for the event. With the success she is having, expect to see her in more events on the LPGA Tour.
