
Women's Basketball Wraps Up Season at Rutgers

New Brunswick, NJ - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will wrap up the regular season at Rutgers on Monday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. The game will also be broadcast live on WKRD and at www.uoflsports.com. Jim Kelch will handle the play-by-play duties while Adrienne Johnson will add the color commentary.
The Cardinals enter the game with an overall record of 13-15 and a BIG EAST record of 5-10. Louisville is looking to bounce back from a heartbreaking loss against USF on Saturday. The Cardinals are led by a pair of sophomores in Becky Burke and Monique Reid. Reid leads the Cardinals in scoring and rebounding with 17.6 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. Burke is second on the team in scoring with 14.8 points per game. Burke leads the team from behind the arc, connecting on 66 3-pointers this season.
Rutgers enters the game with an overall record of 16-13 and a BIG EAST record of 8-7. Senior guard Brittany Ray leads the Scarlet Knights in scoring with 14.9 points per game. Ray is also the best long range shooter for the Scarlet Knights, connecting on 55 per game. Sophomore forward Chelsey Lee leads the team on the boards with 7.3 rebounds per game.
Louisville leads the overall series 4-2 against Rutgers but have never won at the Louis Brown Athletic Center.
