PLAYER
- Freshman Shoni Schimmel dished out six assists in the game, the sixth straight contest in which she has had at least six dimes. The six-game streak with 6+ assists is the longest for a Cardinal player since Sara Nord had an eight-game streak during the 2003-04 season.

- Schimmel also scored 15 points for the sixth straight game, a stretch that has seen her put up 18.0 points per outing.
Schimmel scoring
First four games: 9.8 ppg
Last six games: 18.0 ppg
- Schimmel's three trifectas gave her 3+ threes made in four straight games. She made three of her first four in the game--the last of which was from roughly 26 feet out, easily an NBA-range shot--to give her 12 made threes in a span of 18 attempts (.667).
- Sophomore Tia Gibbs set a new career best with six steals in the game, her eighth multi-steal game in the last nine (3.2 steals per game over that stretch). She has now notched three or more thefts in six different games this season and four or more in five games.
- No Cardinal has had more steals in a game since Angel McCoughtry collected eight at Notre Dame on Feb. 11, 2009.
- Gibbs tied a career high by taking 11 shots in the game (making four).
- Schimmel (five) and Hines (four) also had multiple steals, the 18th consecutive game in which Louisville has had at least two players with 2+ steals. Louisville last failed to have multiple players with multiple steals on Feb. 10, 2010, at St. John's (Gwen Rucker 2, Asia Taylor 1, Monique Reid 1, Brandie Radde 1).
- The Cards had three players with four or more steals for the first time in the last nine seasons--no McCoughtry-led Cardinal club even accomplished the feat. Gibbs and Schimmel were the first Louisville teammates to collect five or more steals in the same game since McCoughtry (six) and Candyce Bingham (five) on Dec. 21, 2008, against Vermont.
- Schimmel's five steals were a career best and gave her 13 steals in her last four games (3.3 per game), all of which were multi-steal outings for the freshman. Schimmel has been held to one steal or fewer in just two games this season.
- Junior Monique Reid moved into sixth place all-time at Louisville in made free throws (263), passing Kristin Mattox (260 from 1992-96). She also overtook Audrey Baines (337 attempts from 1976-80) for eighth on the career free throw attempts list (Reid has now shot 343 free throws in her three years).
- Reid's 21 points were a season high and gave her 17 career 20-point games. She has scored in double figures in each of Louisville's last 19 games.
- Senior Keshia Hines picked up her 13th career 10-rebound game, finishing with 10 (nine of which came in the first half).
- Hines' six offensive rebounds tied her career best, a mark she has now achieved four times.
- The Cards forced Dayton senior guard Andrea Lindsey, who entered the game with 14 turnovers on the year, into nine turnovers, including eight in the game's first 22:11. Lindsey became the third opposing player this season to turn the ball over at least nine times (Houston Baptist's Tia Jackson and Southeast Missouri State's Karley Evans each had 10). Lindsey did have a good shooting game, however, setting a new career best with 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting, including 2-for-2 from behind the arc.
