Louisville, Ky. - Louisville senior Sara-Maude Juneau was named BIG EAST women's Golfer of the Month after wrapping up the fall season. Juneau led the team during the fall season with a 70.7 stroke average.
Juneau earns BIG EAST women's Golfer of the Month after a pair of top-five finishes in October. The senior started the month at the William K. Warren Irish Invite on Oct. 2-3, where she finished with a three round score of one-under 215 to capture the tournament title. The victory tied her for the most wins in school history with current LPGA player Cindy LaCrosse. Juneau shot rounds of 72, 74 and 69 to finish first of 74 competitors while leading the team to a fourth-place finish. The Quebec native then fired an eight-under-par 208 at the Tar Heel Invitational Oct. 8-10. Juneau finished just three strokes off the lead, shooting an opening-round 70 before back-to-back rounds of 69, tying her season-best score.
