
Women's Golf Signs Kentucky Standout Emily Haas

Louisville, Ky. - Emily Haas from West Jessamine High School has signed a national letter of intent to play at the University of Louisville next season. Haas was the 2009 KGA-PGA Junior Player of the Year.
"I love her determination to get the ball in the hole," said head coach Kelly Rothberg. "She has a great passion for the game of golf and that is a quality I look for in recruits. Emily has unlimited potential and I am looking forward to watching her grow as a person and an athlete here at U of L."
Haas was named to the KHSAA All-State team in 2009 and 2010. She was earned 2010 KHSCA Outstanding Senior Award. She finished as the runner-up at KHSAA State Championship Runner-Up in 2009 and placed fourth in 2010. She was the Region 7 Champion for three consecutive seasons (2008-10). She won five tournaments her junior year - the Bunny Daugherty Invitational, the Owen County Classic, the Mason County Invitational, the Shelby County Invitational and the West Jessamine Invitational .
She helped guide West Jessamine to the 2007 KHSAA State Championship as a freshman. During her sophomore year she helped West Jessamine to a KHSAA Runner-Up finish.
