University of Louisville catcher Melissa Roth is in Maracay, Venezuela with the USA Softball Team which defeated Brazil 7-0 in the second game of pool play in the Pan American Qualifier Saturday. Roth continues her daily blog from Venezuela.
"Today was a simple day just getting rushed out of our rooms to leave earlier than we were supposed to. But once we got to the fields it became a normal day. We beat Brazil 7-0 despite some very interesting strike zones. It all makes for good laughs in the dugout. Not a whole lot today but just keep praying for some warm water to shower in. =)"
The United States will face Ecuador tomorrow at 1:00 ET.
