Louisville, Ky. - Louisville's Cindy LaCrosse qualified for the US Women's Open at the Wilmette 36-hole Qualifier. The US Women's Open will be held July 6-12 at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.
LaCrosse was one of just three amateurs advancing from the Wilmette Sectional Qualifier. The All-American shot a 75 in the first round of 18-holes. She shot birdie, birdie, eagle then par on the final four holes to finish with a 72. She qualified with a score of 147, finishing 13th in the qualifier and the second best amateur.
LaCrosse wrapped up an outstanding career at the University of Louisville last month with an 11th place finish in the NCAA Championship. She also became the first All-American in school history, earning second team honors by Golf Week and the NGCA.
