
Cindy LaCrosse Off to a Good Start at NCAA Championship

Owings Mills, Md. - Senior Cindy LaCrosse shot a 76 in the first round of the NCAA Championship on Tuesday afternoon at the Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md. LaCrosse is currently tied at 38th after one round, just six strokes off the leaders.
North Carolina's Catherine O'Donnell and Denver's Stephanie Sherlock are currently tied for the lead, finishing the day at two under par. Four players are tied at third after shooting par in the first round.
LaCrosse began the day in the morning session on the 10th hole. She started the first three holes with bogeys. She went par on the 13th hole and birdied the 14th . She made the turn at four over par.
LaCrosse played her best golf on the front nine. She birdied two of the first three holes. She bogeyed holes six, seven and eight before finishing the final hole with a birdie. She finished the front nine at even par.
The senior will tee off tomorrow afternoon at 2:10 p.m. on the first hole.
