Awards Given Out at Annual All-Sports Banquet

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville awarded its top honors April 27 at the annual Spring Sports Banquet held in the South Wing of the Kentucky Exposition Center.

The banquet, which featured a number of video montages of the best footage from all sports for the year, and including a senior salute, awarded the best male and female athlete from each class as well as the adidas Athlete of the Year for best overall athletes.

For the men, the adidas Athlete of the Year was men's basketball standout Terrance Williams. Women's basketball All-American Angel McCoughtry got the nod for the women for the third consecutive year.

The Ed Kallay Award, the highest honor the athletic department bestows is given to the male and female senior athlete who excells on the field, the classroom with a special emphasis on community service and character. Women's golfer Cindy LaCrosse and football center Eric Wood were the recipients this year. Topping off the top awards were the Leadership Awards with women's basketball standout Candyce Bingham taking the women's award while Chase Kreger of the men's soccer team took home the award for the men.

Cunningham Family Leadership Award - Chase Kreger (Men's Soccer)

LClub Junior of the Year Award - Justin Marks and Chris Dominguez (Baseball)

Sophomore Award - Austen Childs (Men's tennis)
