
Louisville Concludes Day One of Yellow Jacket Invitational

ATLANTA - The University of Louisville men's and women's track and field teams competed in the hammer Ttrow during the first day of the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Georgia Tech on Friday.
"We got off to a good start today and our throws group continues to make great strides," said U of L head coach Ron Mann.
The Cardinal women were led by Junior Lindsey Cook who finished fourth with a NCAA Mideast Regional qualifying toss of 180-08 (54.91m). Sophomore D'Ana McCarty, the 2009 NCAA Indoor weight throw champion, placed sixth with a heave of 176-08 (53.86m).
On the men's side, redshirt freshman Neil Loveridge led the way as he placed seventh with a throw of 163-08 (49.90m).
Following the final day of competition on Saturday which begins at 10:30 a.m. ET, the Cards will return to action on April 2-4 at the 82nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas.
