
UofL, CBS Interactive Introduce iPhone Application

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky -- The University of Louisville Athletic Department unveiled the Cards Mobile application today, the official iPhone application of the Louisville Cardinals. The Cards Mobile application offers iPhone owners easy access to up-to-the-minute news, scores, schedules, rosters and streaming audio for the 2009-2010 school year. The application costs just $4.99 per year and can be downloaded from the iTunes store or from the App Store on your iPhone (search word: Cards Mobile).
The application provides iPhone owners an interface that gives them immediate mobile access to essential information from http://www.uoflsports.com, the official athletic web site of the Louisville Cardinals. Fans no longer have to wait until they have access to a computer or internet connection to keep up with their favorite Louisville sport. Now they can take it with them!
The initial launch of Cards Mobile will include access to the following features:
HEADLINES
Breaking news, by sport, available exclusively from http://www.uoflsports.com
SCORES
Updated score, schedule and venue information for each contest, and results from past events.
SCHEDULES
Complete schedules for each sport by date, time, location and opponent. Includes home and away team rosters and bio information for each athlete.
AUDIO/VIDEO
Select on-demand audio and video clips, as well as streaming audio for select live events.
Future versions of Cards Mobile may include access to:
- Subscription access to premium audio and video content through your iPhone. Subscribe to Cards TV and experience premium multimedia when you're away from your computer.
- Live play-by-play through GameTracker.
The Cards Mobile iPhone application is only compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch and requires iPhone OS 2.0 or later.
