
Women's Basketball Hosts IPFW on Tuesday Evening

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will host IPFW on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 7:00 p.m. in Freedom Hall. The game will be the final nonconference game for Cardinals as they prepare for another tough BIG EAST slate. The game will be broadcast live on WKRD. Jim Kelch will handle the play-by-play, while Adrienne Johnson will be the color analyst.
Louisville enters the game with a 7-5 overall record and will try to bounce back from two straight losses. The Cardinals are led by a pair of sophomores in Becky Burke and Monique Reid. Burke leads the team in scoring with 16.7 points per game. She leads the team in from behind the arc, connected on 27 for the year. Reid is second on the team in scoring with 14.3 points per game. She also leads the team in rebounding with 7.9 per game.
IPFW enters the game with an overall record of 3-7. Sophomore forward Stephanie Rosado leads two Mastodons in double figures, averaging 14.1 points per game. Rosado also leads the team on the boards with 7.0 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Anne Boese is second on the team in scoring with 10.2 points per game. She leads the team from behind the arc, connecting on 25 3-pointers this season.
Louisville leads the series with the Mastodons 2-0. Both meetings were in Freedom Hall with the Cards winning 81-70 in the last meeting on Nov. 23, 2003.
