
Women's Basketball Travels to Central Michigan

Mt. Pleasant, Mich. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will end a three game road stint at Central Michigan on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast on 101.7 FM only due to a conflict with the men's game. Jim Kelch will provide the play-by-play while Adrienne Johnson will add the color commentary.
The Cardinals enter the game on a three game winning streak and an overall record of 4-1. Becky Burke and Monique Reid lead the Cardinals in scoring with 13.6 points per game. Freshman Ashley Rainey is the final Cardinal averaging double figures with 10.0 points per game. Reid leads Louisville on the boards with 7.4 rebounds per game, while Rainey is second with 7.2 per game.
Central Michigan enters the game with an overall record of 0-5. Junior guard Shonda Long leads two Chippewas who average double figures in points. Long is averaging 15.0 points and 2.8 rebounds per game while senior guard Britni Houghton averaging 12.2 points and 5.6 rebounds. Junior forward Kaihla Szunko leads the Chippewas on the boards, averaging 10.2 rebounds per contest.
Louisville leads the overall series with Central Michigan 2-0. Last season the Cardinals defeated the Chippewas 95-72 in Freedom Hall.
