Juneau Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Month

Louisville, Ky. - Louisville junior Sara-Maude Juneau was named the BIG EAST Golfer of the Month for October. Juneau set a personal collegiate low for a tournament score while winning the individual title at the Tar Heel Invitational.

Juneau's personal best came as she shot a 10-under 206 at the UNC Finley Golf Course in a field that included 15 of the top 18 teams ranked by Golfstat.com. Her total score ranks second in the Louisville record books for lowest tournament score. At the Mercedes Benz Women's Championship, Juneau turned in another top-five finish with an even-par 216.

The junior capped her impressive month at the Boulder Creek Golf Club where she tied another career best with a Round 2 score of 67 at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. Juneau finished second overall with a five-under 211. She finished the fall season leading the Cardinals with a 71.1 scoring average.
