
Bustanoby Earns All-America Honors

The University of Louisville's Heather Bustanoby was selected to the Longstreth Field/National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-America third team. She becomes the eighth All-America selection in program history.
Bustanoby, a senior goalkeeper from Virginia Beach, Va., was the 2009 BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year. The first team all-conference selection was also named to the NFHCA All-West Region first team. She is coming off of an appearance in the Senior All-Star game in which she helped hold the USA Field Hockey team scoreless. As a senior, she posted a 12-8 record,and a 1.56 goals-against average. Over 20 games, she held opponents to 30 goals and helped notch five shutouts. Bustanoby is a two-time all-conference and all-West Region selection.
The Cardinals compiled a 12-8 overall record in 2009 and finished the season at No. 16 in the NFHCA Coaches' poll.
