
First Game of BIG EAST Conference Tournament Delayed

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - Game One of the 2008 BIG EAST Softball Championship, set to start at 10 a.m. on May 8 at the University of Louisville's Ulmer Stadium, has been delayed. First pitch has been pushed back by 90 minutes and the projected game start is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., pending weather clearance.
Game One features No. 3 seed Connecticut (27-21 overall, 13-7 BIG EAST) and No. 6 seed Syracuse (21-31, 12-8). The Huskies swept the Orange on April 6, 9-1 (five innings) and 7-6.
First round games will be streamed live online at www.bigeast.tv. Fans can register for a subscription plan at www.bigeast.org.
