
Softball Earns Fifth Straight NCAA Regional Bid

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville softball team earned its fifth consecutive berth to the NCAA Tournament and will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., to face No. 17/18 Virginia Tech. No. 14-ranked Tennessee, the region's top seed - and the nation's 13th overall seed - and will play Winthrop on May 16. The regional is scheduled for May 16-18 with times yet to be determined.
"We are so excited to be playing in the NCAA tournament for the fifth straight year," said U of L head coach Sandy Pearsall. "This region is made up of a very strong field of teams and we are happy to have to opportunity to continue our season."
