12th Ranked Cardinals Host Hartford Wednesday Night

Louisville, Ky. - The 12th ranked Louisville Cardinals will host Hartford on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in Freedom Hall. The game will also be broadcast live on WKRD 790 or at www.uoflsports.com. Jim Kelch will handle play-by-play duties while Adrienne Johnson will be the color analyst.
The Cardinals enter the game ranked 12th in the AP Poll and 13th in the Coaches Poll this week. Louisville enters the game with an overall record of 7-1. Senior Angel McCoughtry leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 22.5 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. Senior Candyce Bingham is second on the team in scoring and rebounding with 12.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Hartford enters the game with an overall record of 4-4. They have played six of their last seven games on the road. Forward Diana Delva leads the team in scoring with 13.6 points and senior guard Lisa Eitenne is second on the team in scoring with 10.3 points per game. Junior forward Erica Beverly leads the Hawks on the boards with 8.2 rebounds per game.
Wednesday's game will be just the second meeting between the two teams. The Cardinals own a 1-0 series lead. Louisville defeated the Hawks 80-50 in Louisville on Dec. 8, 1991.
