
13th Ranked Cardinals Host Ball State at Noon on Sunday

Louisville, Ky. - The 13th ranked Louisville Cardinals will host Ball State on Sunday at Noon in Freedom Hall. The game will be aired live on WHAS-11 with Ari Wolfe and Bob Valvano calling the action. The game is part of a double header of Cardinal basketball on WHAS.
The Cardinals enter the game ranked 13th in the AP Poll and 15th in the Coaches Poll this week. Louisville enters the game with an overall record of 6-1. Senior Angel McCoughtry leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 22.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Senior Candyce Bingham is second on the team in scoring and rebounding with 12.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
Ball State defeated Evansville 81-78 in overtime Friday evening in Worthen Arena. The Cardinals come into Sunday's game with an overall record of 3-2 with losses coming at the hands of Indiana and Illinois State. Danielle Gratton leads the four Cardinals in double figure scoring with 13.6 points per game. Audrey McDonald and Emily Maggert are averaging 13.2 points for BSU while Greene is averaging 10.6 per game.
Louisville leads the series 3-1 over Ball State. The game will also be broadcast live on WKRD 790 or at www.uoflsports.com. Jim Kelch will handle play-by-play duties while Adrienne Johnson will be the color analyst.
