Louisville, Ky. - Sophomore forward Laura Terry underwent arthroscopic surgery today to repair cartilage damage in her right knee. Terry is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
"This is a set back for Laura, but we are encouraged to hear that she will be able to return this season," said head coach Jeff Walz. "She was adjusting to playing in the post and being very productive for us.
"We are down to 10 healthy players and five of those are freshmen. This will be an opportunity for one of the freshmen to step up and gain valuable experience."
Terry went down toward the end of the Utah game after going up for a rebound. She moved to the center position this year after the loss of Chauntise Wright. Terry played in all four games and started in one for the Cardinals. She ranked fifth on the team in scoring, averaging 7.8 points per game. She led the team in field goal percentage, connecting on 75 percent from the field.
