- RB Victor Anderson finished the game just 26 yards short of 1,000 on the season (13 rushes for 60 yards tonight). Anderson entered the game 26th nationally in rushing, averaging 101.4 yards per game. He left the game with 2:16 remaining in the third quarter after taking a hard shot to the helmet and did not return.
- CB Woodny Turenne snatched his team-leading fifth interception of the season and sixth of his career with 13:10 remaining in the game. UC QB Tony Pike had thrown only three interceptions on the season entering today's game.
- K Ryan Payne booted a pair of 23-yard field goals in the game, marking the first time in his career that the bare-foot kicker kicked two or more field goals in a game. He missed a 45-yard attempt with 8:20 left in the game.
- SS Daniel Covington's 12 tackes (7 solo, 5 asst) marked his second highest total of the season. He had 14 stops at Memphis, including 10 solo hits.
- FB/LB James Bryant, who made the move to offense late in the season, recorded his first career reception and touchdown on a two-yard pass from Hunter Cantwell in the first quarter. Bryant has played both linebacker and fullback this season.
- LB Jon Dempsey recovered his first career fumble in the third quarter. He also forced the fumble on the play.
- Louisville did not commit a penalty until 2:36 remaining in the third quarter, an illegal procedure violation. The Cards finished with six penalties.
- C Eric Wood made his 47th straight start at center, while tackle DT Earl Heyman made his 35th consecutive start.
- TE Pete Nochta had his first catch since the Cardinals won at Memphis and only his second catch in seven games.
