
Women's Golf Finishes Eighth at Tar Heel Invitational

Raleigh, N.C. - The University of Louisville women's golf team finished eighth at the Tar Heel Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals shot a 310 in the final round to finish with a score of 911. Wake Forest won the tournament with a score of 876 and host North Carolina finished second with a score of 888. Vanderbilt finished third with a score of 892 and Virginia was fourth with a score of 893.
Senior Cindy LaCrosse finished tied for seventh with a score of 220. LaCrose shot a 78 in the final round. Wake Forest's Jean Chua took medalist honors with a score of 216.
Sophomore Sara-Maude Juneau shot a 77 in the final round. The sophomore finished tied at 43rd with a score of 231. Junior Daphne Parker shot a 76 for the day. Parker also finished tied at 43rd with a score of 231.
Sophomore Laura Anderson shot a 79 in the final round. Anderson finished tied at 48th with a score of 232. Freshman Maria Castellanos shot an 80 in the final round. Castellanos finished tied at 60th with a score of 236.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 10 at the Mercedes Benz Collegiate in Knoxville, Tenn.
