- RB Victor Anderson's 88-yard TD run in the second quarter is tied for the fourth longest touchdown run in school history. Anderson, who entered the game ranked 26th in the nation in rushing (100.4 yds/g), gained 161 yards on 19 carries. He has rushed for over 100 yards in four of his last five games and has scored six touchdowns in his last four games.
- Johnny Patrick's recovery of a Middle Tennessee punt blocked by James Bryant in the fourth quarter marked the sixth touchdown this season produced by the Cardinals' defense or special teams.
- LB Chris Campa recorded a season-best seven tackles, all solo stops.
- TE Johnnie Burns scored the first touchdown of his career on a one-yard toss from Hunter Cantwell in the fourth quarter. Burns led the Cardinals with four receptions today for 21 yards.
- RB Brock Bolen scored three touchdowns in the contest for the first time in his career. It was the second time this season that he tallied two or more touchdowns in a game and the third time in his career with at least two TDs. Bolen had 67 yards on 20 carries.
- P Cory Goettsche booted a 56-yard punt in the third quarter, which was the longest this season and the third longest of his career.
- C Eric Wood made his 43rd straight start at center, while tackle DT Earl Heyman made his 31st consecutive start.
- DT L.T. Walker made his first career start at defensive tackle in place of senior Adrian Grady, who didn't start due to an academic issue.
- RB Bilal Powell and WR Troy Pascley missed the game due to injury.
