
Men's Soccer Falls to No. 1 Wake Forest

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Louisville men's soccer team fell1-0 to No. 1 Wake Forest on Saturday evening at Spry Stadium. The Cardinals fall to 3-2-0 on the season while Wake Forest improves to 5-0.
The first half was ended in scoreless tie. The Cardinals finished the first half with a 4-2 shot advantage, including two on goal. Wake's two shot in the first half was the lowest amount for a regulation period this season.
Wake Forest's Marcus Tracy scored the only goal of the night in the 78th minute, scoring from a corner kick by sophomore Austin da Luz. The Cards had a chance to tie it in the 87th minute but Othaniel Yanez shot was saved by Wake's Brian Edwards.
The Cardinals will return to action on Friday, Sept. 21 as they host Seton Hall in Cardinal Park for the season opener at 7:00 p.m.
