U of L Cardinal Caravan Will Visit Seven Regional Sites

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville coaches and athletics staff members will make seven regional stops in May and June with its annual "Cardinal Caravan" in an effort to reach out to U of L fans.
"We're pleased to have the opportunity during this sixth annual tour for our staff to have personal contact with the fans that are so supportive of our teams all season," said Tom Jurich, Vice President and Director of Athletics at U of L. "This Caravan is a chance for us to visit with and personally thank our fans who have been there for many years, as well as the growing numbers of new U of L supporters, who are passionate about Cardinal Athletics."
The Cardinal Caravan will kick off on May 30 in the Northern Kentucky/CIncinnati area at the Hofbrauhaus in Newport, Ky. at 6 p.m. Members of the U of L coaching and support staff will also visit Mike Linnig's in Louisville on May 31; Lamplighter Park in Madison, Ind. on June 5; Huber's Orchard and Winery in Starlight, Ind. on June 6; Shelbyville (Ky.) Country Club on June 7; Executive Inn Rivermont in Owensboro, Ky. on June 13; and Captain's Quarters in Louisville on June 14.
The 2007 Cardinal Caravan will include a commemorative t-shirt giveaway, appearances by the national champion U of L cheerleaders, Ladybirds and Cardinal Bird, as well as a special Caravan issue of the Louisville Sports Report. Among those scheduled to appear at selected stops at the free events are Jurich, men's basketball coach Rick Pitino, football coach Steve Kragthorpe and women's basketball coach Jeff Walz, as well as additional U of L coaches and staff members.
