The University of Louisville spirit groups will be holding their tryouts next week.
The Ladybirds Dance Team tryouts will be April 27-29 with the Cheerleading Tryouts running April 26-29. Spirit Group Director Todd Sharp predicts a record turnout for the tryouts this year especially after the Cardinal squads competed so well at nationals.
The University of Louisville swept the top three events at the 2007 NCA/NDA Collegiate National Championship. The Coed Cheerleaders, Ladybirds Dance Team, and the All-Girl Stunt Group were crowned national champions. This was the fourth time in six years that the Cardinals have swept the Division 1A categories 6 years.
