
Women's Tennis Signs Nationally Ranked Junior

Highly regarded Lauren Imre of Litchfield Park,Ariz, who spent her junior career ranked in the Top 20, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her tennis career at the University of Louisville.
Imre, who played at Pacific Coast High School in California, will be the highest nationally-ranked American player to ever sign with the Cardinals.
"We are extremely pleased to sign Lauren to an NLI for the 2006-07 season," U of L head coach Greg Davis. "She will be able to come in and have an immediate impact on ourteam. I feel Lauren will be one of the top players BIG EAST Conference as a freshman."
The Cards were ranked No. 74 in the final 2006 Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) year end poll. U of L is coming off a 23-7 season for their fourth straight 20+ win season under fourth year coach Greg Davis. U of L also made its first ever Top 50 appearance in the poll in 2006. The Cardinals return all six of their top players for the 2006-07 season.
