
Women's Tennis Awards Year-End Honors

The University of Louisville women's tennis team nas awarded its year-end honors with Suzanna Gracanin winning the Team Most Valuable Player Award and Robyn White winning the Dr. Stan Frager Team Spirit Award.
"Suzanna Gracanin is very deserving of this award. She had one of the best seasons for us and in the program's history. We are very excited that we have her for two more years," said U of L head coach Greg Davis.
Gracanin finished the season with an overall record of 35-6 in singles, going 27-3 in dual match play. She also had a 25-14 record in doubles. The 35 wins makes her just the fourth player ever in school history to reach 35 or more wins.
Robyn White was 27-10 primarily at No. 2 singles and was awarded All-Conference honors. She also amassed a 30-9 doubles mark for the Cards.
"Robyn White really stepped up for us in a leadership role this year. She not only provided good leadership whe was one one of the most consistent player throughout the season," said Davis.
The Cards were ranked No. 74 in the final 2006 Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) year end poll. U of L is coming off a 23-7 season for their fourth straight 20+ win season under fourth year coach Greg Davis. U of L also made its first ever Top 50 appearance in the poll in 2006. The Cardinals return all six of their top players for the 2006-07 season.
