Garrick earns BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week honors

University of Louisville softball player Kady Garrick was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week for the period ending March 5.
The sophomore from Tucson, Ariz., tossed her first career no-hitter in Louisville's 5-0 win over Akron on March 5. She helped the Cards go 3-1 in Louisville's Red & Black Classic, going 2-0 and allowing only one earned run in 12 innings of work for a 0.58 ERA. Garrick held opponents to a .053 batting average, allowing two hits and walked only one batter. She improved to 4-0 on the season with a 0.99 ERA.
No. 21 Louisville (12-2) will travel to Bloomington, Ind. Tuesday to take on the Indiana Hoosiers (5-7-1).
