The University of Louisville women's tennis team won two brackets at the Midwest Blast when Lauren Imre and Robyn White paired to win the doubles and Natalie Laszkowski took the Blue Bracket.
"I think this was a great ending to a successful fall season," said U of L head coach Greg Davis. "We won two of three brackets and that was very exciting. It was a very impressive outing and we are excited about our upcoming spring schedule. I think the team did a great job this weekend."
Imre and White blanked Purdue's Cigdem Duru and Anna Dzeva 8-0 to gain the finals. The Cardinal duo faced Megan Fudge and Leigh Finnegan from Illinois in the final and held off the Illini 8-4.
Natalie Laszkowski beat Alejandra Meza Cuadra of Illinois 6-1, 6-3 and then beat Shivani Dave of Illinois to gain the final. She beat Illinois' Kristina Minor handily 6-2, 6-0 for the championship.
